




The programme was graced by Joint Director, Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science & Technology, Shri Bamang Apo . He spoke about the importance of education and smart learning and asked the participants to focus on studies with co-curricular activities in their daily routine.

Date: 8th July, 2022 – A workshop on ideation and electronics was conducted by Innovation Hub, Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre, today at Govt. Upper Primary School, Itanagar. The main objective of the programme was to inculculate the young minds about innovation and basic electronics as per their syllabus to encourage them for a positive future in the field of science & technology.

The programme began with a welcome speech by Director cum Member Secy. Shri Chau Dhanya Mungyak. Shri Taru Talo, Director, Department of Industries, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar talked about the importance of Industries and its benefits. Shri Vishal Pillai, Programme Manager Innovation Industry, KPIT Technologies Ltd. Pune.delivered an expert talk on “KPIT Sparkle – Atmanirbharta ki aur Pehla Kadam. An expert Talk on “Role of Technology and Entrepreneurship in Development of Bamboo Sector” was delivered by Er Rohit Agrawal, CEO, Anil Enterprises (Anil bamboo Machines) 11, Industrial Area, Ujjain Road, Dewas (MP). Dr. SK Chakraborty, Assistant Professor, National Institute of technology, Jote, Itanagar delivered a talk on “Automation Using IoT: A Future Industrialization .

The camp aims to teach kids about science, technology, math, crafting, astronomy, etc. This camps will give children an opportunity to continue their education and explore different concepts which they may not learn about in their classrooms. In just one summer, kids discover not only their passion for learning but perhaps even their future career path. The summer science camp conducted by Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre fosters creativity and innovation and encourages experiments and preservance to ensure the participants have a deeper learning.
The summer Science Camp 2022 – 2nd edition will continue till 14th July.

Dr. Kanchan Chaudhuri, Curator ‘F’ Retd. National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, Kolkata delivered an expert talk on “Nature-The Ultimate Innovator”. Dr Arindam Rana, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, City College, Kolkata delivered a talk on “Chemistry – an Innovative Science” and Expert Talk on “Plant Taxonomy for Human” Welfare was delivered by Dr. Vineet Kumar Rawat, Scientist-E & HOO, Botanical Survey of India, Arunachal Pradesh Regional Centre, Itanagar. Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms. Peri Gem , Education Officer, A.P. Science Centre, Itanagar
To celebrate the Mahotsav, it has been decided by the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi to instigate the One Month One Theme initiative.

The newly appointed Chief Secretary has assumed the office today and expressed his hope to work for the betterment of the state with the cooperation of all.
